Anthem Hosting Town Hall Session Regarding Cyber Attack

On February 4th, we told you that our company was the target of a sophisticated cyber attack. This resulted in unauthorized access to our members’ personal information. The investigation into the security breach is ongoing. And we are committed to providing you with the latest information about the attack and what Anthem is doing to protect its members.

Over the last week we have held Town Hall sessions to provide you the opportunity to ask Anthem leadership your questions.  For those who have not been able to attend, we’ll hold an additional session on Friday, February 27, at 11 a.m. Eastern time (10 a.m. Central time). This session will be dedicated to our Central Region brokers and clients. We will review the latest with the investigation as well as provide you the opportunity to ask questions.

Our speakers
Dennis Matheis, President, Central Region, will address member concerns and discuss the risks to our customers. Tom Miller, Chief Information Officer will go over details of the incident and explain how we’re working with federal agencies, what we’re doing internally and who was impacted. Cindy Wakefield from our Corporate Communications leadership team will talk through member communications and resources available. And Bo Holland from AllClear will also be available to speak to the specifics on how Anthem is protecting members’ identities and credit.
