Our staff depends on Nina’s wise expertise and knowledge in all aspects of human resources management, and depends on her counsel in assisting our super staff to maintain super greatness.  Nina has worked with small non-profit organizations, in large international corporations, and in medium-sized firms, handling consultative HR aspects of businesses an managing HR functions.  She is a well-respected, optimistic realist who assists Epic managers and employees in attaining their superhero status, while at the same time, following HR compliance protocols and processes. She has been in and around insurance, especially employee benefits, since her career began. 

Nina has a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville, and has taught there as well.  She has represented Super-Human Resources at many executive tables and has journeyed through many less-than-stellar meetings with executive and senior managers who often need to be reminded that we all depend on each other to attain super-human companies and unbreakable customer loyalties.

Nina’s super strengths are in counseling and coaching, mentoring and advising, complying with regulations and HR procedures, recruiting superior staff, and maintaining employee satisfaction.  She enjoys the super world of HR, because, as she has stated, “HR can be a real business administrative stumbling block or a wonderful stepping stone to humanize the business…”, and she takes great pride in helping support the Epic Insurance Solutions super-fabulous culture.  

Little-known facts about Nina:

  • She is a lector and server at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Anchorage, KY
  • Her hard work ethic learned at an early age; her father's family were share-crop armers in Mississippi
  • Her proudest accomplishment is her close-knit family; a husband and two adult sons
  • Her “other babies” are a Jack Russell terrier and a Yorkie, who actually runs the household
  • She enjoys exercising, especially pilates, yoga, and keeping in touch with a large cadre of friends
